Spinal Decompression

During spinal decompression, a traction table is used to help stretch the spine. The goal is to relieve back pain and/or leg pain. Our skilled chiropractor, Dr. Karp, also works to promote an optimal healing environment for bulging, degenerated, or herniated discs.

Spinal decompression is a type of therapy applied to the spine that brings patients many benefits. First, we attempt to create a negative intradiscal pressure to promote retraction or repositioning of the herniated or bulging disc material. Secondly, we create a lower pressure in the disc that will cause an influx of healing nutrients as well as other substances into the disc.

We will be sure to stretch and relax your spine intermittently in a controlled way. The entire theory behind this process is to create a negative intradiscal pressure which will pull the herniated or bulging disc material back into the correct space as well as promote a passage of healing nutrients into the disc so it is able to heal.

Our entire staff is dedicated to our patients. We want you to be able to live pain-free (and quickly). We never just look at the problem while trying to mask the pain. Instead, we want to get to the bottom of your spinal issues so that you never feel this way again. Our office provides a calming atmosphere so you are sure to feel comfortable while your body is trying to heal.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment for spinal decompression in Glen Mills with the experts, contact us today at 610-459-4114.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a scientifically proven way to reduce pain and inflammation. Treatments are fast, safe, painless, and most patients experience results after only a few sessions. If you are suffering from cervical pain, lumbar & sciatic pain, muscle spasms, knee and joint pain, elbow and joint pain, or any kind of acute or chronic pain, deep tissue laser therapy can help.

Laser therapy is a non-invasive technique to help reduce pain and inflammation and cause tissues to heal. Laser therapy can be safely used as an adjunct or replacement for pharmaceutical drugs. This pain relief treatment is FDA cleared and enables patients to have an alternative to drugs and surgery.

Treatments last about 10 minutes depending on the condition being treated. Laser therapy treatments must be administered directly to the skin, as laser light cannot penetrate through layers of clothing. You will feel a soothing warmth as the therapy is administered.

Patients generally see results after 3 to 5 treatments. State Line Chiropractic Center will help develop a treatment plan that is optimal for your condition.
